Wedge Box For Subs?
I figured I would ask in the Bay Area chapter of I-Club, since a lot of you know your stuff. Is anyone here familiar with building a wedge box that fits on the driver side of the trunk?
I've been looking around and I've found the Evo-Auto wedge box (130+30 shipping just for the box) and that was it.
Is anyone in the South Bay ready to build a box like this for less? I'm looking for an inexpensive alternative (I'll probably buy the Evo-Auto wedge as a last resort or the Infinity BassLink).
Just wondering if any of you folks out there could help me out with building a box. I have no carpentry skills, so this is a tough one for me. Thanks for checking out my thread.

fyi the wedgebox will most likely sound better/louder/bassier than the basslink. the basslink can ALMOST pass as a SUPER good stock sound system with a lot of bass. i used to have a basslink, but it bothered me because whenever i had a car with 2 passengers in the back seat the bass felt greatly reduced.

Ah, ic. I usually don't ever have passengers though. I just want something that will cover my low end base as a fill. I don't need it to thump my whole car
.
.
i found a premade POLK/MOMO 12" sub in a prebuilt enclosure at FRYS for around $100.
weird shape and stuff, but hey... it was part MOMO... lol...
this was about a year or so ago. but you know fry's... they have those wacky sales every now and then...
plus the other reason is the enclosure is perfectly designed by polk for the sub characteristics...

Hrm, usually the Fry's does have crazy deals. I used to work there (it sucked). In any case, I don't think I'll be buying anything from them. I guess I should be more clear, I'm looking for a box that's form fitted over the driver side rear wheel well trunk space

then either a custom made fiberglass enclosure or that evo box is it.
only downside is that you have to find a sub to match the characteristics of it, rather than the other way around...
good luck...
