If I were to be completly honest, I would say neither. I would put them on a bar similar to the BATEK one, just thinner and... I don't know, don't listen to me...

I guess if I had to pick, I would say the first one. The second one is annoying. Have you tried a different (subtle) color for the nav links?

Very cluttered. I like the mirror theme, but the execution just makes it look confusing. And that blue box is all in the way of the crap that I want to read. hahaha

Definitely DON'T put something like "NAVIGATION--->". That's almost admitting that your design is poor and things need to be spelled out to the user. There are so many flash sites with cool navigation that it shouldn't be to hard.

Good start though.

In that case, the monitor thing looks out of place. I actually like the mirrored effect you did...graphically, it's a good eye catcher. As far as the nav on the bottom, checkout my friend's site. He has a bottom nav like yours, but it's more interesting... just my thought.

It's ok. I'm first a systems administrator before a web designer. With that said my thinking is always that the users are stupid. And typically it's true, so that's why I had the thought of telling someone it's a navigation menu.

With your point in mind though that does speak poorly about my design layout. It should be obvious. I'll make the changes. Keep giving me ideas guys.

Here are some other tips:

-Use the word "we" instead of "I"
-Avoid using "Z" instead of "S"
-Try to code in ASP

I agree with all your points except for adding in ASP.

Why would I need active server pages for this site?

*hits head*

Whoops. Sorry, I get caught up and dont realize what I jot down (I myself am using ASP for my website), I meant HTML/PHP, that would be the sauce. I say HTML because you can still weave in and out of PHP script if needed and for some people that dont know PHP have the preference of using HTML.

It was tested in mozilla. My mozilla/5.0 for linux works just perfectly. Every page fits and there's no anomalies.

I don't know what OS you have but maybe you should upgrade.

Argue all you want on another thread as to which browser is better (blah) but I have to design according to the higher percentile and in 2004 according to my google searches that was IE.

I just re-read your post and I'm now thinking you mean the white background text that's been discussed before. The part that mentions html flash blah blah. It's supposed to be like that. It's decorative rather than informative and deliberately so.

Age as far as tech goes has little or no bearing. In fact most older people don't know trash, even the old timers who have been in it since PC's were invented are well... old. Their ideas, their lack of creativity and willingness to try new things; intelligent ideas can come from anyone at anytime outside of I-club

JUST KIDDING!!! :P
