No one ever sees it from a police officer's perspective....

There are those that do abuse their power and its those few who mess it up for all.

That being said that office dude was being a douche, but no one knows what this was even concerning, what their criminal history. Plus the subject did advance and the officer felt threatened made the split second decision to defend himself.

As far as I'm concerned, it was a group of adolescent males enjoying a stroll on a nice Sunday afternoon.

Oh but no, they were involved in gang activity because he wasn't wearing his pants 'correctly' and white t-shirt was too large.

"Split second decision" Lol are you kidding me? He challenged him to get in his face. I don't know who you are, but judging from your avatar work with ambulances and probably spend a good amount of time around cops. Sure most of them are "good guys" but understand that cops don't get a bad name from just a handful of guys. Every time I look at the news, theres another story of a cop abusing his power. Whether it be stupid **** like in this video, or executing minorities at your local BART station... cops always abuse their power. We all know theres good cops out there, but understand that majority of cops are ****in scum. Get your head out of your ***.

I hardly think saying "look me in the eye" is a challenge to get into someone's face. How did the officer know that the subject's advancing wasn't going to be followed with a punch? Anyone should know, you don't do anything that is considered aggressive toward an officer because it will never end well. You can disagree and state your disagreement, but the court is the place to fight it, not right then and there with verbal or physical advances.

That being said yes, there are a lot of cops who go too far. But in a lot of cases they are all good guys who have been conditioned to react the way that they do, due to the people that they see on a regular basis. Is it right? No, but is there another way? Not really.

All enforcers whether it be American cops, Brittish cops, etc. are hated and are always viewed to be dicks. People rarely see what they do and put up with what they do on a regular basis. They choose to do a job where they are hated, and it is a necessary one. If you went to work and everyone you dealt with beside your coworkers treated like ****, hated you and on top being that the people you deal with are real criminals who have no regard for your safety or others, you would be a bit bitter too.

There are a lot of bad police officers, but the good ones rarely get anything positive out of being good, especially when everyone automatically assumes that they're *******s, because a lot of them are.

I bet in this video, those guys were on their way to bible study.

I have had a cop pull his gun on me just because I step out of my car when being pulled over for talking on my cell phone when I pulled into a chruch parking lot. Most cops love the power they have over everyone else, that **** goes to thier heads and they get act like they are above everyone.

stepping out of the vehicle during a traffic stop is a sign of aggression....

Doesn't matter what the violation, could've been an unsafe lane change. Read that link, the approach of a vehicle is one of the most dangerous times for a traffic officer.

There's officers who've been killed because they stopped someone on a very minor traffic stop, and the person got out and killed the officer because the person was on drugs and had a gun.

I understand the danger. And they do have a hard job. All I'm saying is they tend to let the power go to thier heads.
