water in intake monifold question

Ok, so i was working on my car one night and i need to take off my intercooler. While working it started to rain like a mother. So i worked really fast to get everything done and the hood closed. Now after i finished i took off to a friends and the engine bay sounded a lot louder than usual. All i installed was SpeedMonkee's Chimney. The thing that concerns me is that the engine bay is really load when im driving. When i hit like 75-80mph the engine bay sounds pretty loud.

Now im thinking what could it be. Was wondering if water that had gotten in to the intake manifold could be that problem and if i could do ne thing about it. Could it be i took to little time to install the intercooler? Positive feed back would be great.

What? Anyway, no water in your intake [a few drops] isn't going to hurt anything. Now if you stick a garden hose in there, you might have some problems. Go back though your work and double check everything.
