I don't know either of these 2 people involved, I have seen xhengmanx's car and it is very cool, but it is obvious that they were not close friends and this was a business agreement so hopefully xhengmanx understands that trashing the guy on i-club is all he can do..nothing more legally or physically.

It sucks for xhengmanx because he is a valued member here, has a wicked car, is very popular and likeable and is obviously a pretty good mechanic too, and the fact that calisuby hasn't been on here to give his side says volumes and makes him look very shady
You are a moron. Are you only allowed to have your car worked on by these so call certified shops like dealerships (most notorious for being the worst).

You have never heard of auto repair side work? what are you 16?

Lastly all of us on the community want to know about this so you are highly mistaken when you come in here beaking and spouting off about involving iclub.

Do what you're gonna do. I've got enough on my plate right now. If you Think Going back and forth speculating and talking **** to each other is beneficial then have at it. Fact is, the info is out there regardless.

Sounds like legally you will be bent over and sodomized in every sense of the word if you try and get your money back via the legal system

There is a reason that our vendor shops pay huge overhead to serve our community and you swinging wrenches in an uninsured and unlicensed manned is a private matter between you and your 'customer'

Why are you involving i-club?

BTW thanks for involving i-club because the drama of your home 'mechanic' setup brings good traffic that supports i-clubs vendors
if he is doing this once in a while and not building engines to turn a profit then he is running a non profit operation. If that is the case you should also go after any one who said throw me a 6 pack of beer and I will help you work on your car because that trade can be considered as a form of payment which undercuts local vendors as well. If he is doing this to make money and has been turning out cars left and right then yes you are correct.

If you want a quick rundown on how a business transaction operates in the real world lets take it to PM. I don't want to add any further to Anthony's misery because it sounds like he was shafted royally and I hear he is a nice chap. I Just hope he isn't out of pocket for parts and machine work he fronted.

Sometimes I wonder how people make decisions on who to trust with large amounts of their money...clearly in this case the decision was not based on any understanding of how a business should legally operate.

Like I say, I don't know and have never met the 'bad man' that should 'pay up' or else his 'i-club reputation' be sullied

Carry on
There was a guy running a shop down the street from where I work that ran it as a "hobby shop" for almost a decade. He wasnt licensed or insured and it was perfectly legal. I dont do side work for money but lots in the automotive industry do. It doesnt make it ok to rip someone off because they dont have a business license.

Otherwise you get into tax problems and all that nonsense....bottom line is though one fellow iclub member seems to be screwing over another and that's not coo......i also hope xhengmanx at least gets the money back he spent on parts. Thanks for your support dude.....wait...what...jerk? LOL. You make a good point.

I'm sure the multiple shops that quoted CaliSuby for the same work must be relieved that he couldn't afford their services and the business went to Anthony

=[ I don't normally offer work and advertise my jobs. I recommend them to go to a shop. But if someone is in dire need and cant afford what shops charge and the come to me personally for help then ill be glad to do so. But as of now I'm probably going to say no to side jobs unless it's a reAlly good friend. Sorry to everyone else.

Damn it Ray, what the hell are you reading. Do you have the i-club boards on the acid trip design style, is that whats distorting my posts? I stated, and I have it quoted below, that CS made a thread asking for options while almost all the mechanical vendors chimed in and gave him his options and what they were able to help with. Dude what the **** man................ stop twisting my words dawg. I thought we were over this.

The way he went about delivering that message is what we are all not fond about. How he came across in his opening statement was "lets not warn the community about sketch artists and scammers". Sounded more like he was mad and wanted to make his statement rather than support the interest of warning the community of such a member. It doesnt matter if it was money in trade for labor OR parts. If it was this much money on a parts/goods transaction, what do you have to say then? Bottom line, since CS hasn't even replied once, the message is to declare and warn others about his shady decision. Having hengman do the work for him was just part of the back story.

hope you get your money back!

I had to learn the hard way too trusting people to pay me back for a job done. when they stop picking up, I already know whats up.

Do you really think someone robbed him of his phone, and logged onto iclub on the stolen phone then proceeds to delete you from facebook? LOL that would be awesome if he pulled that line.

Glen, I normally dont do side jobs. But when people call me and ask I will charge cause my time is not free neither is my knowledge. I understand your point and what your trying to get across but its not random people that i perform work on.
