Watch out for CaliSuby
I just got done performing motor work for his car and he still owes me 1,400 on it.
Some of you guys know recently I have been working on a motor and putting Calisuby's car back together after he had some issues with an oil pick up tube and didnt have enough cash to get a full build. He contacted me asking if I could help him out with getting his car back up and running to factory condtion. I gladly said Yes and gave him his options of what he wanted to do.
He then buys a motor and without seeing it run and meets up with the guy to drop it off at my house. We were unable to perform a compression test just because the motor is out of the car. He still buys the motor and We do a leakdown test on it the next day. Results came back as 40% 45% 35% 75% leakage. Keep in mind that the motor has not started for over a year. Based on the test and results we got, I called him back and told him and wanted to see what he wanted to do.
We ended up deciding that he wanted to tear apart his original motor and build it from the ground up with all factory parts. He buys a sti short block from one of my buddies that I know 100% is in good working order, I send off his heads to get new valves and re-machined and start putting his motor back together. After everything is fully reassembled, He now has an upgraded killer b oil pick up that I had, TGV deletes that he bought from karlton, ewg setup he bought off another i-clubber, and a new oil pump from me cause his has metal chuncks stuck inside of it.
So we installed the motor and its running perfectly fine minus the codes the ecu is throwing for not having tgvs. Drove the car for a while after adding all the fluids and burping the system. I call him to give him the good news and send a video to him showing that it runs without issue. He asks me if he could pick up the car the next day and finish paying me the rest of the cash in a week or 2. total came out to a little under 3200 for the short block, machining the heads and all new gaskets, plugs, oil pump, gruppe n motor mounts and labor. He gave me 1800 as a down payment when he first dropped the car off.
So now im out 1400 dollars and he is not picked up his phone or responding to my text messages. He also removed me from facebook and im unsure of what to do... I do this guy a huge favor and in return I am getting screwed.
Cliffnotes:
I work on this guys car, Rebuild his full long block, get a deposit of 1800 and was promised the 1400 a week after the car was done. Been 2 weeks and im still waiting for money.

Damn that doesn't sound like something he would do...he's got a weird work schedule iirc so he's not always able to reach his phone, regardless I hope this all works out

I really hope this isn't true and he's just busy. I had heard he was coming up to Hammy so maybe all can be sorted up there in a friendly manner and it's just a misunderstanding.

I highly doubt something came up cause he was just on i-club an hour ago and removed me off his facebook right before that.
