Warranty Question

I have a 2006 WRX that is almost 3 years old and so the clock is ticking on the “3 years or 36,000 miles” warranty. I have a little less than 28,000 miles on the car.

Should I take it in for the 30,000 mile service before the 3 year anniversary just to get it checked out? Or is it okay to leave the 30K service until it has reached 30K – which may not be for another couple of months?

Would it be wise to take the car in to be checked out before the “3 years or 36,000 miles” warranty expires?

I would, My 06 got a check engine light right after the 36K and warranty won't cover it...
