Alright, I want a lot of people to read this story so no one gets hurt so please tell anyone in the Bay Area looking for a 2.5RS this story.
Long story short my friend was looking at this RS off Craigslist in Mission District SF, we test drove it checked it out and the owner "didn't know" anything about the accident it had been in a year ago which salvaged it. We had him bring it to Napa to my dad's buddy at classic auto.
We jacked it up and F***! The car was amazing inside and out, but the engine was being held in by four copper spot welds, FOUR! The tranny and engine are going to fall out at any time and the guy "didn't" even know about it. The frame is completely tweaked and beyond help from any one uninterested in a project car. He was 18 and bought it two months ago from a guy who "didn't know" about it. I almost felt bad for his ignorance. He is the fourth owner, the first owned it for 5 years then totalled it and sold it 6 months later. It has been sold every two-three months since.
The kid is planning on trying to basically trick someone in to buying it before it breaks, mean while he is driving daddy's beamer. I told him to part it out and make $4000-$5000 because everything except the frame is in great condition.
Please watch out for it and anyone interested in it. Please PM me if you have any specific questions or info about someone trying to buy it. I want the kid to make his money back, but not by killing anyone who may buy it or killing anyone as a result of the engine dropping to the road.
The car is a 2000 Impreza RS, dark blue with 5% tint. It is the coupe and has 02 wrx rims. The lighting is all converted to the white jdm style lighting and it has apexi exhaust. If you think you see it and need any more specific info pm me.
Thanks for reading, please let anyone you know thats looking for an RS to watch out.

Thanks for the heads up. I've seen this car on Craigslist a while ago now. First time was probably the original guy selling it. Advertised as a salvage title. Then a few months later it got sold (probably to the guy that your buddy bought it off of). The ad was located in SF. Salvage title again. What you're describing is the exact same ad I saw.
