Yikes!! Expect a looong day
Seriously though, with that kind of schedule, we might have to start the day even earlier in the morning. I'd like to get all the baseline runs done with by noon. That would leave the rest of the day (going well into the evening, I'm sure) for reflashing. Test driving can be done, of course, all throughout the day.
Prior to the dyno day, I'll give a few requirments for those who are getting reflashes. Primarily, make sure you are filled up with good gas from a reputable station. Nothing is worse than getting tuned while running some crummy gas from a no-name station behind a truck stop. Conversely, don't run race gas unless you plan on always running race gas. Also, make sure you have all your factory boost control lines installed. This means that little brass restrictor in the vacuum line that goes from the boost control Tee to the compressor outlet. This will be necessary for me to re-program your factory boost control system. I'd also recommend making sure your tire pressure is good, if not a little on the high side. This will reduce sidewall deflection on the dyno making the graphs a little bit smoother. I'll be sure to post this again just before the event along with any other info that may be helpful.
If anyone has any questions, let me know...
Cheers,
shiv

Subaru recommends air filter change interval is 30k or 30 months (sooner under dusty conditions), whichever comes first, so if you're getting close replace it. OEM paper element is fine, no need to go out and buy K&N drop-in.
Oil change interval coming up? Before Dyno Day, at least make certain that oil level is not low on dipstick. Can you say 'meltdown'?

...and make sure you have the factory black plastic restrictor and not the 3/16" mod that is so popular.

I have removed the turbo intake silencer from the wheelwell, is this going to be a problem? Intake is stock and the front air intake is still in place. I'm assuming that if I put the silencer back in for the reflash and dyno and take it out afterwards there shouldn't be a difference in performance. Thanks....looking forward to march!!

I don't think it's necessary. During dyno tuning, Vishnu will plug into the OBD II port and monitor engine performance parameters through a software display. Re-flash takes place via the same port.

another update ... i'll be at the UCKK meet tonight from 8:15-9PM.
I will need to collect from Porkchop, bluwrxwgn, 5150WRX.
If I do not receive a confirmation by EOD Wednesday, you will be bumped and the waiting list will be used to fill the empty spots. Just as a friendly reminder, there are a few on each list.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks for your efforts in organizing and collecting deposits/payments, Steve. See you guys on Dyno Day.

Guess I missed out on this one. I really should waste more time browsing the boards. If anyone wants a little extra uuumph for the day I've got a TurboXS turbo-back for sale that's been sitting in my garage for too long.
$800 obo. Yes, I know that is blasphemy in a Vishnu thread. hahaha.
I'll be there to hang out and shamelessly promote my website. I know you guys were looking for naked girls, but don't be mad if I show up with WRX and HACKERS on my butt cheeks.
