The kids must have said he fired at them. Unless they have a hole in their truck I'd imagine that charge will go away.

I'll take back what I said about the kids punches. He apparently landed a solid one. Dude must just have a decent chin. LOL!

Seriously though... I had no sound... he shot at the truck? What a idiot.

So he faces 4 years for brandishing a weapon, etc etc etc.

I would think that the kids would face some kind of charges as well.
1. Older dude did start the fight... BUT they brutally attacked the dude 2 on 1. I would think he could file counter charges.

2. He didn't have a gun yet... so it's not justifiable force...

I would think that the dude would file charges against the kids. Kids would then drop the charges against him in order to get their charges dropped.

Police will hold to the fire arm charges. Dude will end up getting probation.
tru this. self defense is a viable excuse for only so long.

From what I read, apparently the guy followed the kid back home and the fight took place in the driveway of the kid's house. After the fight, the guy drove up and down their street and shot a couple of rounds into the kid's truck and a neighbor's house.

Shooting into an inhabited dwelling is kinda serious.

Yeah just read it.

Sounds like the wife stopped the *** kicking by pointing the gun at them so her charges will probably either be dropped or plea'd down. I highly doubt she'll see jail time. Maybe probation. But they'll take in to consideration the toddler in her case... probation means the kid doesn't go into the system.

The husband is in deep crap. They're trying to make it sound like he was scared. He'll have to spin a good thread to get anyone to buy that.

1. He followed them.
2. He exited his vehicle and approached theirs.
3. He swung first
4. He continued the ordeal after they stopped beating him down

He'll be lucky if he's smart and files some counter charges. Gets a few of his dropped by doing that. He'll still face quite a few charges. If they can prove he shot the truck and the house... which it sounds like they can... this dude is going to jail. He's VERY lucky this was in NC and not CA. He'll probably get a light sentence if he has a clean record. Do some time and be let out.

In CA they'd throw the book at him and he'd be looking at some serious time.

what a f***** idiot, with his toddler in the car?? what if he kids had a gun at home.. what a dumb**** and what kind of a mother does what the wife did!! usually they panic and want to break the fight up and take care of the kid!
I'm sure the kids were *******s and cut him off pretty badly but going after them and doing drive-by is a different story...

His wife shouldn't get to get off easy. reality here, she pulled the gun out, she in essence escalated the situation by doing so and then handing it to her husband who isnt in his correct mind cause he just got beat down. talk about making a situation even worse. had she just stepped in and did the typical " NOOO leave him alone (get between her man and the guys)" they wouldn't be facing these charges. The kicker, their kid is in the car. A slap on the wrist isnt going to teach her much at all, I hope she gets some time and not just probation. That might sound cruel and all cause they have a kid but hello they have a kid they shouldn't be doing ish like that esp in front of the kid. Love how the dudes lawyer tried to paint a picture like his client is a victim even though video shows he was the aggressor.
