So I drove my car to work in SF this morning which I seldom do. It was around 6:00 and the sun was just coming up. I check my rearview mirror and see the brighest set of Xenon headlights coming up fast. I slide out of the fast lane to let the guy pass. To my surprise the guy slows way down and is checking out the back end of my car. My car isn't the most subtle thing on the road so it wasn't that surprising until he pulled up along side of me. . . . .

The car. . . A brand new silver Mercedes E55 AMG ($$ChaChing$$)
The driver. . . . A 65+ year old indian guy in a suit and tie

He slows down, checks my car out from side, speeds up, checks my car out from the front, slows back down along side me, gives me a huge smile, a big thumbs up and then takes off like a bat out of hell. Such an amazing car and a really cool owner that clearly appreciates all kinds of cars.

A very rare and very cool way to start my morning.

E55... What a car... 11 seconds stock!

 

sopposedly 12.6, but i went to wednesday night drags last week and a brand new e55 amg got 14.2 and m5 got 14.4

 

I got a thumbs from an SL55 once, that was pretty nice.

 

isn't the e55 an autotragic? wtf....

and the m5 must have been a n00bie driver.

 

they couldve both been noobs...they rolled over the line, and backed up past the line about 4 times each.

 

how do you fug up a launch w/ an auto? LOL

 

maybe they had ebrake on the whole time

 

I had one of those think I was racing him... Needless to say I got to witness a nice power display
