Got pictures of the ticket? Maybe we can try to get the word out and make people aware of the BS that's going on with car profiling and handing out tickets like candy.

Call um up, be like "wtf?" Just ask for the reason, no matter how f'n dumb it is, who knows, you might get a second laugh out of his reason

And i dont think he should be restated the fine parts of that rule because i would assume he would know it but he might need to hear them again...

Here in Livermore, if you go down to the Police Station there is a 20$ charge for a cop to SIGN off on the fix it ticket. However, if you stop a cop on the street while he is busy it is a free charge. Sounds backwards, go see a cop doing absolutely nothing and you have to pay them, but bother one while he is busy and it's free.

can't you just go to court and fight it since he wrote it up improperly? He cant judge the noise output if the car is parked.

cop said it was a modified exhaust....

on apex website...

All A'PEX exhaust systems comply with applicable emission laws since they neither modify nor relocate the required factory emission control devices; they are considered "direct replacement" parts. Such parts do not require a CARB Executive Order (EO) since they are not "add on" or "modified" parts. A'PEX exhaust systems are "functionally identical" to the OEM parts during emission tests. Sound levels are tested on stock vehicles before the product release to ensure compliance with the 95dB limit. [/COLOR][/B]

Dude I'm Mad. I can't believe they can do this.
How can he assume the car is loud? Especially when we are allowed to modify anything after the cat. so long as it does not exceed 95db(for a vehicle weighing less than 6000lbs)

Since it's a fix-it it should be $25 with proof, went up in 2009 used to be $10
