Depending on when it is/who is organizing it, I'm down to help out with some of the physical work. I'll be out of the country for a few weeks starting mid-August, but at this rate I doubt it'll be able to be planned and executed by then.

The ground work was laid to do it at the same place as last year.

I think enough people have offered to do things that bruce could probably walk a few people through some of it without having to do all the work. I think if I was Daniel I'd be about fed up with doing it. I am more than happy to lend a hand.

Maybe this would be a good opportunity to form a committee with Daniel serving as advisor.

I could do something like that. I would be tempted to take it over but I have a 3 month old baby and my wife just went back to work. And I'm still out of work so I have enough isht to deal with.

Good luck with the wedding and the marriage.

My best advice is finish EVERYTHING a week before the wedding. Including packing for the honeymoon if possible. Then relax. Because once the day comes you can't change how it goes so just make sure YOU have fun.

Wow... I am almost surprised that I didn't come across this until now.

Kinda funny that Daniel (brucelee) hasn't made a post about this yet, but whatever.

Long story short. If the meet is going to be in July or August, IT IS TOO LATE, we are already 4 days away from JUNE! If someone wants to front ~$2,000 (without any return) right now, then (pending an available location) it is possible.

I was considering putting it on this year. But I was waiting until Daniel said something. I know if I made the first move he would get his panties all in a twist. But he has yet to say anything and now it is too late.

What if I started complaining about him after I put on one of these events? My avatar is missing a finger because of him.

One leads from the front, not the rear, of a group.
A leader does not blame his or her shortcomings on the actions or inactions of others.
A leader does not make excuses for his or her failures, shortcomings, or inaction.
The greater the risk, the more that is risked, the greater the reward.

In short:

Lead, follow, or GTFO of the way.

It is difficult to lead when others don't want you to and have the power to censor you.

This is me stepping out of the way.
