How long did you let everything dry before starting the car? What was the temp like where you were working?

If you seal things like that up when it's below say 70 degrees and you don't let it sit for at least an hour you will likely have leaks.

Um I think I got half moons leaking....

Hello all i'm still kind of a noob with anything engine but I have a good learning aptitude when it comes to anything mechanical just as a heads up if I sound like an idiot. So I changed my valve cover gaskets and halfmoons and its been good so far until like a week or so I ended up loosing about .5 quarts of oil . I bought all the material at Capitol Subaru including new bolt bushings. Made sure to clean all mating surfaces, put ultra grey prematex where the specs call for it as well as the corners and of course around the halfmoons pushed them in made sure they sat flush with the vc surface and put some rtv on the flat surface of the halfmoons as well. Also can I reuse the gasket when I replace the half moons? Should I use LiC halfmoons instead of the factory ones?

Thanks,

ike

Do the job over again and pay extra attention to each step. Leaking half moon is one task. Until u get older and get to the leaking full moon lol.
