Two BRZ's

Was at Marin Mazda-Subaru today. Two BRZ's on the showroom floor. One black, the other looked like DGM. Asking sticker plus $2700 iirc.

They can ask that much for it, but no way they're selling at those prices. Unless someone is desperate or dumb.

I just went there today and it was already sold lol. They also have $2k mark ups on normal WRXs

Ever heard of going through Costco to get $500 off of invoice? I wonder if that would work with the BRZ.

there is something called supply and demand. Think about how Sony went about it when they first released the ps3... 800 bucks! but did that stop anyone from buying it? NOPE. Its up to the buyer to do the negotiating on the price of the car. If you walk in and dont even haggle with price then its your fault.

Also just because your an "i-club" member doesnt mean your entitled to a discount at all subaru dealership. You guys and I mean everyone on i-club and other car forums dont realized that they are probably only 1-5% of the dealerships business. They give discounts because you guys are enthusiast not because you guys are entitled to it.

yeah the way dealerships work is its ALWAYS in their interest to show a mark-up on their sticker price. That way, best case scenarios is some idiot comes in and thinks thats the street price and pays it, or even if they talk someone down, they are still only bargaining on their own mark-up!

in both cases its a win-win for the dealership to put an over-sticker mark up on cars that theres a buzz for, even when theres now enough supply for demand. you just need to be smart enough to do your homework and footwork before you step foot on a showroom so you dont get ripped off.
