Edit: NM, some kind of protest that shut down civic center? People were pissed that the protesters were blocking the trains? Some idiot tried climbing on top of one of the trains?! Yeah, that sounds like a brilliant idea chap.

 

BART has some major issues.

They keep raising prices to pay for overpaid employees yet they don't improve services. They are the same trains put in to service when my grandfather was mayor. Dirty crappy trains.

If you go from Fremont to SF and have to pay for parking you are paying more than it would cost you to drive yourself and park. Silly.

Maybe stop paying people 90k to push buttons on an automated train or 63k to pick up trash. I've seen train drivers sleeping up there while making $38 an hour.



As for the police crap lately... well... not much to say there. I personally think the last dude got off way to easy and I don't know much about the most recent one.

 

Disbanding the police force is retarded. I've definitely been on bart and felt less safe than almost any other place. In certain situations you can run away but not when you are trapped on a train with a group of people looking for trouble.

The service is facility issues are totally different than the police force. Imo the original **** was retarded, the guy was a newb cop, the suspect was fighting and resisting police, the cop accidentally shot him. Really not tragic at all. The second thing stated an office was cut , AND THE PUBLIC called the police on this guy for being a danger.

Most of these morons probably don't even ride bart.

 

I agree with everything you said minus this. As much as I hate BART, going from Fremont to SF is $10, and parking at BART is Free, and even if it did cost money to park, lets say $5 a day, that's still cheaper than driving to SF, dealing with traffic, wear and tear on your car, stress, as well as parking in the city which is far more than $5.

Driving and parking in SF is the worst thing ever. I'd way rather take BART than drive to SF. Any other place/city however, I'd drive.

 

I wish BART police would bust a cap in one protesters ***. The rest would run so scared the tears in their eyes would cause them to run into the poles holding up the station as they go screaming for mommy

Ohh lets go jump on top of BART trains and **** up everyone elses trip home. How is that any better then that stupid kid Oscar Grant. Really people.. Those morons on the news were all there just to see something go down. They don't care about a cause, They just want to feel cool for the next few days that they stuck it to BART. When really they are messing with people trying to get home on a monday night.

 

Just hope you aren't planning on staying in SF during the evening since BART stops running trains BEFORE the bars & clubs close up for the night. Way to go public transportation, way to ENCOURAGE Drinking & Driving.

Seriously, how difficult would it be to run trains between midnight and 7 AM (or whenever BART normally starts running each day)? They could easily run one once every half hour or once an hour between all the stops.

I haven't ridden bart much since I stopped commuting out there. I know it's about $11 to go to New Montgomery.... my old stop. I guess that's cool if parking is free. I thought you had to pay a few bucks a day now or buy a monthly pass or some crap??

I used to get free parking at the SF MOMA garage so for me it was way cheaper and I like driving and not having to deal with some drunk *** falling asleep on me at 7:30 in the morning.

 

Always thought that was super stupid. Especially on Thurs/Sat. I mean seriously. Are they drying to promote drunk driving?

I got stuck in the city a few times because I missed the last train. Ended up sleeping on the couch in my office. HAAAA.

 

I think we should give all the protesters BB guns, then run at them with knives. Whoever fires their BB gun should leave because they have no idea what they are protesting for.
