TurboXS Catted DP Question

sup brethren!

I recently bought a turboxs catted DP, and am having trouble getting a hold of their support staff. It is a 2 piece DP, with a tapered end like so:

Name: IR7Pvuol.jpg
Views: 2
Size: 503 Bytes

which I've never seen in my internet sleuthing. 2 questions: will it be able to fit into my stock midpipe, or will I need an aftermarket one? Did it come like this, or do I have the bottom of another brand?

Thanks. I miss BAIC.

WTF....

The only reason I'd say that it's stock is because that is some pretty high quality welding right there. Gotta be version 1.

Damn you heedz.... beat me.

TurboXS uses proprietary piping. You need their resonator pipe. The only part of your stock exhaust you can retain with their TBE is the axleback.

FYI, your stock midpipe is replaced by part of what you bought (the part with the cat in it).

OK, I got it, I misused the term rear exhaust pipe (resonator) for midpipe. So now, I've got to replace the stock resonator pipe with a turboXS piece. Damn, it's gonna be louder than I was hoping for.

I'm looking for this piece, yeah? http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Turb...-STI-2002-2007

Email then. That may not work.

The Version 1 is shorter. As I said, if you want me to measure I can measure my catted section and midpipe.

The version 2 Catback portion is mate-able to any other downpipe while the V1 was not able to.

Thanks for the offer Heedz, but I've got the downpipe as well. It's just not shown in the pic. I was confused as to whether that weird flange was gonna fit my resonator pipe, but Brfatal sez it don't. So now, I've either gotta flip it, get a new flange welded on, or get the rear-most exhaust pipe (what turboXS calls their midpipe ). I don't think there's any need for you to measure unless what I just said don't make no sense.

ps they haven't been responding to my emails.

the 2 piece downpipe is longer than a normal downpipe so normal midpipes do not fit, they fixed that on the version 2.

If you happen to have a version 1 downpipe like I do.... That replacement midpipe will not fit.

If you do not have that mid pipe, I would suggest getting the catted section cut and mated to whatever mid pipe of your choice.

If you do not want to use it. I will happily buy that gasket from you.

lo comprendo. I think I'll be OK with this though: TurboXS Mid Pipe Subaru WRX / STI 2002-2007 at RallySportDirect.com since RallySportDirect.com sells both the above, and another TurboXS product with a flex section called the V2. Also, if you look at the above link's detailed pics, there is a mate for the donut style flange, whereas the V2 is a flat flange. So.. I guess I'm just inferring that it's the V1 and am gambling that it'll work. Anyways if it doesn't, I'll keep your offer in mind!
