Look, if anything.....forgive and/or ignore my bigotry, and read the historical aspects and remember that it isn't just music, it is in fact a culture that is being disrespected, hence my assertion.

I wasn't trying to enforce anything. Just sayin' not all of us listen to what's on the radio or can't appreciate what came before our time whatsoever. Thanks for the recommendations, BTW. "So next time you ask hip-hop where is going, ask yourself, where you goin'? How am I doin'?" It's all about the love for the music, the culture, whether it be graffiti, b-boyin', etc. See, I could be mad at all the kids lovin' the Lil Jon, gangsta, bling bling, the whole 50 Cent/G-Unit complex stuff, but I always know there's a good number of kids out there who can remotely grasp the concept of what hip-hop truely is keeps me interested and hopeful for the future of the culture someday. I STILL have hope that the future of hip-hop is still bright as long as there's decent cats out there who push for it and work hard to be heard. Now, that's something I've learned during my short years listening and absorbing hip-hop music and the culture. One love. =)

That is right. I did vote for Biggie. He was a much better MC(lyricist) IMHO. Too bad he was on Bad Boy Records or even had anything to do with Puffy.

And the poll would be a lot different if you posted this and the East Coast voted.

i voted for pac, but this is not really fair, they are both great, and two of the best rappers in history, but tupac is better, it is known that he is, but that doesnt make biggie bad

i have one full day of tupac songs on my comp, that is 1.5 gigs and like 300 songs... thats a lot, and they are all good, that is why he is the best

Tupac, without a doubt. I was never fond of Biggie's songs, and they just never appealed to me. Tupac's stuff was mostly from personal experience, not extravagant lifestyles like the whole Bad Boy's Records motive.

But most of all, I give it to Tupac because he was better than Biggie at putting it on tape. His voice, the way he rapped the lyrics, were both a lot better.

This is not a westcoast/eastcoast deal for me either. I like Nas, and many other east coast artists, but I seriously believe Tupac was THE greatest rapper yet. From the circumstances he was coming from, there was no one else that could compare to his success.
