eww, that's no good. i'm assuming that was on a vf30/34?

mine would climb smoothly to 20 and taper down to about 17.5~18 by 6500 before shift points. but it was tuned for that much boost so the timing and fuel were appropriate.

I should post this in the SoCal forum (Link this thread).

We all know why they left the bay area.

Please, just post up. Hiding stories like that is what makes others get sucked into it too!

Damn, Ive been taking my car down to I-speed for years and didn't have them start to tune my car till Aug, of 2003. Overall if you needed a part installed I-speed would be one of the cheapest prices out there for installation. But as far as tuning, I just went through a very stressful experience. When taking my car to get tuned by gruppe-s recently I found out I was running real lean, and not only that but I had a crappy tune I had been running since Aug of 2003, so after a few min, of tuning Mike came out to tell me that I might have lost a cylinder!! =/ Well after a very stressful hour we had found out it was only the coil pack that had been blown cause of running real lean. But through out that hour, I had thought I lost it all, while hearing stories on how people have lost cylinders from I speeds tunes =/

Well I'm headed back to Gruppe-s s on fri, to have my second tune to hopefully correct all this I-speed mess! Gonna keep my fingers crossed =)
Mike at Gruppe S seems like a very honest and good tunner, while taking his time to make sure your car isn't running dangerously!
Gruppe-s +1 for tunning

Javier

P.S I was running 18.5 pounds on a vf30

BruceLee,
Can you please explain to me the point of this thread? I-Speed is gone from NorCal right? If you are trying to help people out in SoCal by telling them about I-Speed, or trying to inform people who have existing I-Speed tunes then I understand, and would make perfect sense : ) I am assuming that these are the only reasons correct?
Thanks
-Brian

A lot of people still go to i-speed for tunes and to be honest, I'm tired of people getting screwed out of money, time, and their cars! If Javier for example knew about this kind of crap before Aug 2003, you think he'd still take his car there? I think not.

well I got off lucky I guess, got a UTEC road tune and once we got it back on ATPs dyno I had LOST 5whp over my last dyno run with stock EM at ATP. The quick fix was to advance timing on the dyno until I was up 10whp, then once off the dyno and back on the road it pinged like crazy so I just yanked out the UTEC and ran off the ECU again

Let me put it another way.

If 20 people had terrible experiences with Stevens Creek subaru... Wouldn't you want their voices to be heard?
