Yeah there is.
On the metal locking mechanism attached to your trunk, there's a little metal tab that moves up and down on the right side of the latch. Check what position it's in.

i always have the latch bypass turned so it cant be opened from inside/lever.
breaking my window is one thing but breaking my window and opening my trunk is another.

I am still using the stock trunk springs off the STi trunk since I just taped up the holes from the wing, but that was like an oh **** feeling for me. Pulled over and beat my monkey for a minute or two until I got diiiiiirtyyyy looks as I was on the side of the freeway beating it pretty hard
Sorry that was just too damn funny to pass up

haha, I memer when I had my STI wing and I traded it for a wingless, I would never even bother using my trunk release without the key, but one time we did it with some oranges to see how far they would catapult, we got one damn near 2 car lengths!
