Trunk lock question

So a few days ago my key stopped opening my trunk.I figured since it was the original key that it was worn and time to replace it. But now the open latch inside has no tension on it and wont pop my trunk either.

So my question is,is there any way to get in the trunk with out taking it to the dealer?

jump in the back seat, put the "ski passthrough" thing down in the middle of the seat, reach in and grab the safety latch

the STi's don't have that passthrou at least not in the US.

You gotta take out your backset to access the trunk.

It does not look like you can get in via the back seat but I will double check.Guess I will have to make a passage if there is none. The release just stopped working out of no where do you think the cable just came loose somewhere?
