Tried to smog protuned catless legacy the other day

So I tried to get a smog check the other day. The guy didn't care about the visual test. Got the car up on the rig and the smog tech couldn't get my car to stay at 2500 RPM. I thought it was him, so I tried it and he was right. When held it at 2500 it would slowly creep up. I suspect it has something to do with my pro tune(GST Tuned). Anyone else experience this? I want to avoid having to throw the stock DP back on. Looking for some ideas.

Dont know about the idle thing, but you do know theres no way in HELL youre passing the sniffer catless, the cat is your most important smog device. Dont even waste your time/money trying to get it passed smog catless, seriously

there are some SR20s out there that run cleaner catless than most KA20s do with a cat.

We smogged a tuned single turbo 2JZ at Speedee when I worked there. Passed without cats.

I like how no one addresses the 2500RPM creep issue...
