traffic tickets and jobs

I received a ticket for doing a california roll at a stop sign in January. Went to traffic school to have the point removed from my driving record. I'm starting to look for jobs and some of the jobs I'm interested in are driving positions. On some of the requirements they either have:

Must have a clean driving record
Must have no more than 2 moving violations
etc etc

I was just wondering that since I went to traffic school for the stop sign ticket, will anything show up on my driving record about it? Or in other words, will the company be able to see that stop sign violation? During an interview if they ask if I have any violations, do I tell them about it if the infraction doesn't show up in their search?

I have no other tickets or infractions other than that.

The reason they ask for a clean DMVR is because they are unable to insure people with poor driving records. I think even if your ticket did show up, you'd still be in good shape though since it's such a minor infraction. I believe you can request a copy of your driving record if you go into any DMV, that way you'll know for a fact whether or not your ticket will show up. In Colorado, all you had to do was walk in and ask for one.

Here's the CA DMV website: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dmv.htm

The way it was explained to me is there are two record- your public record which insurance companies have access to, and probably employers as well, then the state record which will still show your point even though you took traffic school.

I believe that Traffic school means that that point does not show on your public record so it should be cool, but if you get one of those "clean DMV" jobs, beware that getting caught having too much fun on a weekend can find you unemployed a couple weeks later....

the way it works in ohio when they remove something from your record is this: as far as what the cops see when they run your DL#, employers, insurance, anyone like that, its clean. The only place anything shows up is the court record with documentation of why you were there and what the verdict was.

so during an interview if that question comes up like "do u have a clean driving record" or "do you have any moving violations" I could just say no without getting caught?

To get a copy of your record, go to the DMV, present your license, and give them 5 dollars. I believe that it will show up clean, assuming all the correct paperwork has been done.

It should come up clean unless it is a 2nd traffic school or 3rd and so on. There is a code that comes up if it is within 18 months for multiple traffic schools. It maybe good to order your copy though, Marshall. Make an appointment online to pick one up.

I would say mark no on the question if it was the first one. All they will do is let you know if it is still on the Motor Vehicle Report that they would request. If you have something there, you can dispute it if it is incorrect.
