Level 2 Traffic School? South Bay speeding tickets?
So, in all the speeding tickets I've had, the cop has been unjustified in more than one respect. I usually end up goin to court for the arraignment and requesting traffic school and I always get it. (if you think that you can only go to traffic school once every 18 months, please don't respond to this thread).
Anyways, I got a speeding ticket a little while ago and I don't feel like contesting it ... I just want to go into court and request traffic school. I called the south bay court house and they said not to bother ... that I should just fill out the form and they will put me in "Level 2 Traffic School." The ***** I talked to also said that even if I go to Level 2 Traffic School, my insurance will be notified and my rates will go up. Does anybody know about this stuff?
Please only respond if you have experience with this... I'd rather not start a thread that's filled with misguided responses.

You can go as many times, but if it is within 18 months, it will appear on the Motor Vehicle Record that the insurance company pulls. It has a code that would actually state that it is the 2nd or 3rd or something like that. I hope that is what you were looking for.

That's not quite what I'm lookin for. I've gone to traffic school 4 times.... 3 of them were within 18 months of another. None of them showed up on my record and they were all level 1. Apparently the palo alto/ south bay courts have a "level 2" traffic school that is the only option when you've gone within 18 months and takes two saturdays, can't be done online, and shows up on your record... but without a point. Won't that raise my insurance?!
Anybody have experience with this?

It will raise your rates as soon as they conclude that it is a 2nd, 3rd, etc. traffic school. It may show up as no points on the MVR, but it will be counted by the insurance company (normally).

Keep in mind... i'm not just talking about taking a second traffic school... i'm talking about taking LEVEL 2 traffic school. It must be done in person and takes two weekends.
