Track Day @ Laguna Seca
Just wanted to share some video from my trackday at Laguna Seca. I think i was the only Subaru running at this event, unlike my last one at Thunderhill where there were a bunch. Where was everyone??
Pretty happy with the videos, but need to get an interior mount so i can capture me + the view outside.
One thing for sure, this track is just so much fun, i'll be looking to head back there as often as possible in 2012

Would be nice to be that close, its a great location, but it takes <90mins from San Jose so its not too bad a commute
Good stuff. We were just there Monday for the first time. It really is a phenomenal track.
I'm curious to know what are you recording with? I'm starting to get the camera stuff set up in our car. I like having an interior shot that will show the gauges (especially tach). I think I'm going to wire up a little LED for the brake so you can tell that too.
If I can figure out how to get the wink mirror out of the center of the frame I'll be happy.
I really like the videos showing the driver in a split-screen. Pretty funny stuff seeing the expressions when there's scary stuff happening on the track.

I don't go as often as I'd like to. But for those that don't know, LS is located in its own little basin, so it is typically a little cooler than the rest of the area (which isn't that hot to begin with).
Really? I feel that it's hotter in there than the surrounding areas.

Even dug up that old top gear where Clarkson went there (Series7 episode6) & tried to match his video game time 1:41 in real life. Best he could do with a Honda NSX was 1:57. I timed my best lap as 1:59, so pretty happy with that

The camera is a GoPro Hero, i got the motorsports pack for $250 off amazon (2 weeks before the Hero2 came out
), has a good amount of mounts included. I think the quality is great, just dealing with the large HD files on my old PC is a slow business
