was at blue angels this year in sf. at the last second one of the planes made a hard turn and B lined it right for me at about 100 feet (it seemed like it) over. literally almost evacuated my lunch...took me a good 5 minutes to get my heart rate down. the sheer power of the sonic boom almost threw me to the ground. pure awesome.

anyone else make it out there this year (meaning 2010, sorry)?

I can NOT imagine having that one fly over you head just a few feet. insane.

P.S. Before anyone bags on the F4, please keep in mind that I'm a Phantom Phanatic. Long live the Spook!

With the exception of the Century Series, the F-4 is my fav old school jet fighter.
We attended the transitional ceremony when Oregon ANG got rid of their F-4s ...and got f-16s.
There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd.

So who saw those 2 f16's buzz the entire city of San Jose during summer I think it was? Not sure if they were f'16s either i was at work and missed it sadly. People were *****in and moanin because the fighters were flying too low and too close to the city. Like really how can you get mad at that it's one of the sexiest things that can happen. Buncha winers.

hehe, my old ROTC Lt. Col. was a navi for the F4 back in Vietnam and his son (from what i heard a few years back) is a F15 pilot instructor....pretty awesome family and yeah, F4s are sweet. Too bad the military uses them as targets nowadays...(im more of a F15/F5 type of guy)

i remember people complaining about that...pretty stupid if you ask me. Everytime i hear a military jet/cargo plane fly by, i run outside with the quickness...

my favorite, by far, has to be the 2 Chinook helicopters that brushed the tree tops in my backyard years back when i was a kid...damn did that shook up the house

The thunderbirds would something like that. All but 1 would be in formation holding the audience's attention while the remaining one would come screaming by right in front of the stands. It always scared the **** out of me as a kid, but I still loved it
