Generally speaking they're only gonna give you money for things that are installed on the car and you have receipts for.

I'd say at $14k they're not giving you enough to warrant not letting you swap parts. I'd give them an invoice with the cost of all parts installed on the car and as many receipts as you can dig up. If they don't come up with the dough then you should be able to take parts off.

^^ Exactly what I did.. I pointed out all the after market parts for the car and handed the lady a reciept for everything I could find... I asked her to adjust it accordingly or I want my parts back and the same cash amount. She said "Take the car home put it back to stock, I'll come see it sunday" So I got my car back Let the stripping begin

if you need help I'm sure there are a number of people that would be able to come down and help. I'm in santa cruz or I'd offer to help.

That's the benefit of saving your stock stuff....

shoot I spent the last 3 days stripping the inside of my wagon.

The coilovers are probaly thrashed. the brakes are probaly not worth it either.. I'll just be removing the interior, tail lamps, tbe, acessport, swapping trim pieces for ugly ones, and any other stuff I can find that I have the stock of.
