Yeah I agree with Krinkov. There is a good chance that it'll be totaled, but we'll see tomorrow. I was looking around anyways for a replacement car and there aren't much subies FS right now.

This should be quick if the other guy has the same story as me because we are both state farm and my agent knows the other agent. They said I wouldn't have to pay a deductible if he took 100% of the blame which we agreed upon and what the witness said.

yeah hes def at fault and you dont pay any deductible and it doesnt go on your record as a wreck and your rates dont go up. Most likely what will happen is the adjuster will give you some lowball offer he hopes you will take because he will write you a check on the spot. Most people (idiots) take this because, hey its a check for thousands of dollars! He will tell you if the repair costs more than the check they can always add a supplement but most people just cash the check and never fix the car, thats what they want you to do. Dont take the check. Tell him you are going to take it to your body shop first. He will probably then ask you whos your body shop, so try to have one to tell him, where do you live?

I live in Fremont. The body shop it's at Is like certified by statefarm. They deal hand in hand with each other. Can i get someone else to estimate it still? Also what do you think is a reasonable price cosidering the kbb values.

You can take your car to whatever bodyshop you want. State law prohibits insurance companies from forcing you to take it to one or another shop, although they can offer suggestions (not ALWAYS bad).

P.S. Regarding the first offer, it's only good to accept it if you're planning to cash out. If you intend on getting the vehicle repaired, or if it's a near total, always take it to a body shop first where it can be stripped down and the full extent of damage can be assessed by the adjuster and the shop both.

if its one of the state farm preferred shops, as in the one they usually suggest you go to, its because they are cheap. Just so you know.
Your never going to find one of the expensive shops on their list of recommended shops.

What do you think? Is that what it will take for you to find a replacement you will be happy with?

It's really hard to say without knowing the full extent of the damage or what it is exactly that you want to do.
