You should pick up some old race tires.

I think you will be competitive in SM once you get race tires. An exhaust and EcuTec will definately make you more competitive.

Its chillin' cruising thru RoPo at the speed limit in 5th gear- and being in the power band!:O
That arm is gunna get buff from all that shifting- like a fiddler crab.

Can someone help out. I was running in the wrong class last year (SM-N). I had no engine mods. Actually, the tech would look at my car and ask, "Why are you doing street mod?"

"Because I wanna run with cool kids like subydude, bluwrxwgn, and r_master!", I would reply. Haha.

Anyway, I am changing to either ESP-N or STX-N. I can't tell the difference. Classify me. Probably STX-N. Thanks guys.

Go to STX-N, I think you will have the most fun there. Alot of nice subbie folks there...except Joe of course!! hahahahah J/K. It's a good class for the WRX I am sad to be leaving.

Yup, STX-N would be best. You could run in ESP-N, but you would need lots more mods and R compound tires to be competitive.

STX and ESP are similar classes mod wise but of course there are a lot of differences. The biggest difference which Lorry mentioned is that ESP requires R compounds to be competitive (not required but you'll get clobbered without them). R-compounds are not allowed in STX. ESP allows you to do mods such as the intercooler hose, a front limited slip dif and other goodies but ESP is a very cost prohibitive class if you want to bring a WRX to state where it is competitive with the MOOOOOoooooostangs.

Chris Warner can speak volumes about the differences between STX and ESP as he competed in ESP most (if not all) of last year.

Truthfully though you should just come to STX, it's the place to be (we're definitely the coolest class LOL)!

Did you compete more than half of last seasons autocross schedule? if you think you did, then your running in STX with the rest of us.. (except those with an extra forward gear)

I was reading up and it said 8 events is 33% of the events. I only did 4 in SM-N all last year. So I think I am good. Am I?
