It was pretty cool... I got a 53.44x, paulc got a 53.48x, and Rob blew our doors off with a 52.4

Cool part is we got in car video of Rob's fastest run. I just did some crudimentary sycronization between different movie windows and you can see where I lost all the time....

If someone could host the movies, that would be very cool. Contact myself or PaulC (he has better bandwidth at work)

It is also interesting to note the difference between Rob's JIC's (bouncy bouncy bouncy) to my DMS 50's (smmmmoooooothh)

Fun course, easy to lose time on.

Joe : just bring the tire gauge next week.

Much happier with the car (and my driving) today. Got a 54.7 on the second run, and was putting together this KILLER run (to try and beat Joe at least ) on the third run.....until I took that last "jog" before the final U-turn a bit too hot and smacked a cone (and got the car so upset it slowed way down).....DOH!

Martin : do you have a bigger copy (resolution) of the pic of car #94 below? If so, e-mail it to me at Ed_Runnion@RegionOfDoom.com

BTW, Car 52 is Chris.

I watched the in-car video....worked well, I'll see what I can do as far as ripping it to Computer.

Joe (or Tim if you're reading this) : can you ask Tim what the website was that he got that Wide Angle lens from? Want to buy one for my Camcorder.

Yeah, It feels Like I am getting tossed all around in there. I guess its a get what you pay for thing with the JIC's, they are not all that expensive as coil-overs go. May also be that my spring rates are pretty high.....

I think they are, so you'll have to stiffen the settings for dampening to match it...

or get other springs...

or get other coil overs...

The video shows the results of those stiff springs too. Between the stiffer springs and the falkins you have a much better turn in than I do. I lost all my time in the sweepers where my tires were at their limits, while you were able to push the tires a bit harder.

Damn you guys are fast. The best I could manage was a 57.9. But it should be enough to net me first place for SM-N.

I am not saying I don't like them, because I do. I am using those rates because they made the car behave how I like (7kg front, 8kg rear), and I have adjusted my dampening in respect to my rates. I know why it is the way that it is, that does not mean that I am not anoyed by it sometimes. JIC's are "no-frills" that is why I got them. So no, at the moment I will NOT be getting other coil overs

Sunday was my first autocross, what a great time seeing you dudes fly through the course. I hit 59 on my last run with all four tires screaming, what a blast. Does anyone have advice on how to keep power around the last big "drift" turn?
