Ahh.. Taxi.. No. If one is seriously serious about cheap transportation, getting a cheap reliable car that's reached it's slow point of depreciation is key. Like a $1500-2500 Corolla that you can put 50k miles on for the price of gas and oil changes, and then sell for around the same price when you are done.

with those conservative numbers it only costs us $1100 to drive our cars
oh and chances are you are negative equity on your payments...
ouch!

I pay $600 but my ins is only $50 per month. I guess it all equals out somehow.

Someone has good credit or a nice down

And to the original post I've spent hella money in the past year. Basically stock for the first 4 years of its life. Then last year I went mod crazy, I gotta take it slow =\ the mod bug needs to die....

I do? I guess so, but no different than Audi. Just didn't think a 14k mile car under warranty would be such a trauma.

I had a BMW before, it was a real POS but it was free. Haha...

My insurance just went up, so now it's $283/mo but that's for 2 drivers and 3 cars and I don't have any car payments. As far as maintenance and gas? Yeah, let's not go there.
