Titek Catted Downpipe & Sniffer Test (Post your experience)
I don't understand why people with AWD worry so much about SMOG?
AWD = No Dyno emission test
No Dyno = NO LOAD on engine
No LOAD = less emission
and intake doesn't ALWAYS mean fail on visual. Visual test depends on the Tech. You can have an open air filter before the MAF. Carb label or Not. doesn't matter.
Any Cat-Back is legal for SMOG, Carb sticker or not...
Test Only Smog and Regular Smog are the same test. 100% identical! If you HAVE to go to a test only center, and your car is 2000+, that mean they(BAR) picked your car ramdomly. Nothing more. Test only centers can SMOG any vehicle that need smog in Cali. If its Test & Repair, they can NOT smog vehicles that require to go to Test Only Center. BUT if its a GOLD Shield Station, they can smog ANY vehicle that needs smog in Cali too... Its confusing at first BUT its really simple...
If you guys are so worry about failing, why not do the Pre-Test FIRST? That way you'll know all the reading and what pass and what doesn't?
Newer Cars nowadays have alot cleaner tailpipe emission, cat or not. You'll be surprise...

NOx wasn't even listed on my sheet. I was curious too. Just had CO2%, O2%, HC, and CO (with only HC and CO having specified limits) Usually that which reduces HC and CO increases NOx, so I suspect it was high, but have no data to share.
