Ever since I got my wrx, i've been getting followed around everywhere in the bay area. I also must mention that i drive an 02 wrx with NO spoiler... and, ASPEN WHITE! Yet, I manage to get pulled over and followed constantly! Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I think not....
Anybody have any ideas to make my car EVEN more sleeper? I got rid of my DRLs after my first ticket...

I have an 02 white with gold rims, and have never been even looked twice at by the CHP (import haters). I also have no tint, not too lowered, and a stock looking and fairly quiet exhaust (Vishnu twin tip). Just don't drive like a retard.

 

Mine was riced out with a loud *** exhaust. Never got a second look, except for a thumbs up or two. Follow the rules and play nice with others.

Maybe it's not the car, it's the driver. I know I always get followed around when I'm in Oakley/Brentwood. Cops out there don't like the hispanic males for some reason.

 

I'm not at all sure it's the hispanic factor. I live in Antioch and I'm about as white as one can get and I get the same kind of attention. I think it's just the abundance of jaskass drivers in the area that give you and I a bad rap and give the cops a bad attitude. Some cops just like following WRXs and I don't know why.

EXTERIOR: I have wingless MY02, stock height, stock rims (w/upgraded tires), 3" catback with dual tips, tint on rear three windows only, front license plate is always on the car, stock intake without silencer mod to keep car as quiet as it can be with the catback. No body kit, just an STi hood scoop. Stock headlight assembly.

INTERIOR: Stock, no upgraded shifter ****, no aftermarket gauges, no upgraded sound system.

I have never been pulled over by law enforcement in 40k miles.

drive like a biatch and follow other cars. i got tired of being followed too so i purposely get behind others and cruise with traffic. cops aren't gonna pull behind you and follow a whole line of cars. cops!
