Tire *****!!!!

So damn pissed off.

I've had some tires in the back of my car for a week. I decided I'd put em on today since I almost died in the rain.

So I called a place first thing in the morning...they said...yeah $17per. It's a local family run place. I said sweet....

Called back later and said..hey I can't get out of here until a bit later when can you take me...they said anytime before 4.

I called back at 3 and said...you guys still get me in at 4? They said yeah sure.

So I bust my *** at work....leave a couple ours early to do this instead of working another half hour and leaving early to go home. I smash over there. Call them while I'm a block away at a light...4:03. Say..hey I'm a bit behind I'll be there in less than 2 minutes. The guy goes....oh man everyone is trying to get in right now we can't get you in. I said....dude I've called 3 times..you said 4. It's 4. He said..yeah it takes an hour we close at 5 we can't do it. Hence blowing off my apt.

So because of the time they also ****ed me out of anyone else being able to do it. I called EVERY tire shop in santa cruz. One almost said yes but some guy in the background said no and there I was. I called Costco and they said..yeah anytime before 6. So I drove all the way over there through traffic. Get there. Wait in line. Then the guy says...oh you have to buy your tires here...that's just how it work.

So yeah. So I drove around.....took an hour off of work. Sat in traffic. Spent like $10 calling information on my phone only to still have tires in the back of my car.

So instead of leaving early I have to be here late...yeah.

**** that place. I'm so damn pissed. I'm going to call them next week and tell them they're ****ing *** holes and won't see a dime from me....and I go through tires fairly quick. This is I think my 4th or 5th set on my 2004 auto...and I have 2 other cars I put tires on.

I don't understand todays work ethic. The place would have still been able to close on time. Or shoot..had to stay open 10 minutes late. They would have had a happy and definately return customer but instead they choose to be lazy and close up. I just don't get it..that is the easiest way to make money for that place. It's all labor. And easy labor at that. I used to do it.

Shoot if it was me on the phone I would have told them to come by anyways..did it off the clock and pocked the $80. **** it. Or if I owned the place asked one of my guys if they wanted to do that. I did it at my old place a few times.

lazy ****ing americans. No wonder we're becoming a failor as a country. Bunch of fat lazy ****ing bereaucrats.

Are there America's Tire Companies out there? Seriously, when I worked there, we'd almost always close atleast 1 hour late because we took all the stragglers. Everyone always came at the last 30 minutes.

I ordered my tires through America's Tire Co. and they price matched Tirerack.com's discounted price on the tires I wanted after shipping costs.

+100 for them.

We bring the tires (having a TireRack account = ), and they mount and balance them for 20.00/tire. They've always repaired the tires for free, regardless if we bought them there or not...

wait, they originally said "anytime before 4". You didn't get there until after 4. Where's the confusion?

it was the fact that I had spoken with the several times through the day and the knew I was coming in. I spoke with them at 3 and they said 4 would be fine. Apparently 4:03 is not 4.....I didn't realize the tire world was like military school.

I was literally a block away.

bah..I went to my trusted wheel works and got treated very well. Life time balance. Etc. They were very friendly and got me in first thing in the morning. Didn't charge to toss the tires...my rear tires were JACKED. to the metal and through in some parts...crazy.

so....no confusion.....money is money in my opinion..if I ran a business I'd have made the extra 3 minutes of time for $100.
