just got pulled over last night for having my front windows tinted.. i dont know what level the tint is because i bought my car with the tint on already.. what should i do now? remove the tint? or find someone who knows a cop and have them write it off? how can i tell that it is actually an illegal tint... the cop just looked at my windows and assummed it was too dark without testing it. dam.. i would hate to take off the front tint because it was a very expensive tint job from what i can tell from the receipts... WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

 

any tint in the front is illegal, your best bet would be just to pay the ticket... gonna cost you just as much to get it fixed as it would to pay it.
how dark is ur tint?

 

i dont know what level it is..i believe the rear is 5% .. dont know about the fronts..

 

From what you've said, you must have known the windows are illegal. Anything other than default windows (that are as dark as they get... yes it's pretty much almost clear) are illegal. It's very easy to determine if any tint is on your windows because anything other than plain clear is illegal. Cops can pop you without doing any testing at all.

Your choice, get it signed off by a buddy cop, or just take it off.

In my jeep I have 20% on the front windows and 5% on all the backs.. about 2 years ago I got a ticket and I went to CHP with my fix it ticket with the windows down and the officer just looked out the window and signed it off.

calm down, relax, chill out, sing the ticket your self, pay the 10 bucks at court, simple. Sound wrong but then again anything is wrong if you think about your self...

 

you either have a cop u know sign it off or you remove the tint,have any cop sign the ticket off once you remove the front tint and you gotta go to court and pay a fine for the fix-it ticket. idk how much it is now but wen it happened to me i had to pay $25 buks for it. if you get caught AGAIN with tints on the front passanger windows you'll probably pay way more.

ive gotten total of 3 tint tickets in 3 years? the fine hasnt changed for me. and ive gotten caught with 5% all around. its always added on to another violation i hate it.

 

yea same here... 3 tickets for tint and it was cheaper when I lived in Fairfield but both times in Sac I had my co worker sign it off and was like 25 each time

 

Just take it off...especially if you have other mods, carry drugs, drive drunk, or like to do stupid **** when you drive. Wait, if you do everything after other mods, go ahead and leave it on

 

when you get a fix-it ticket, you usually fix it...
