Angry ticket for PAYING at toll bridge...wtf?!

wtf?!? i got a ticket in the mail today saying that i didn't pay the toll on the bay bridge on my way back to the city. it was on 10/02 around 11:30am. this is such bull b/c i DID pay the toll, but i can't do s*** since they have a picture and i don't have a receipt. if this wasn't a mistake, it's such a shady and immoral way to make money for the government b/c they SO know that the percentage of people that will win an appeal is super slim....AS$%^U&(JYWER!@$#T%^HR$H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

sorry, just had to rant a bit...if anyone else received a ticket during this time, let me know! BULL**** i tell you!

i still don't understand why everyone doesn't have fastrak

it doesn't cost any extra money and u'd NEVER had to deal with BS like that

plus you get through faster and you dont have to be carrying small bills around.

Go to court. ask them to pull the video before hand... This should show you paying, Every booth has this....
The burden of proof is on them if you fit it. If you car rolls though the booth as you are paying it might think you didnt pay... Ticket in the mail...
Was it a front pic of you driving? With your face? if not tell them you loaned you car out ... They then cant bust you for something someone else did.

I have fastrak, and sometimes it doesn't go off. When I had my Accord I got cought three times, because the thing didn't work. I had to pay a $50 fine since it was my third offense. So far in my WRX, it didn't go off twice >=/

Fast track is a easy ticket to get out of if you have fast track.... This type of ticket happens alll the time... Just go to the clerks office and show them the ticket and something your fast track paperwork. ... They should then cancel the ticket....

Sucks... I have a hard time believing it's a funding scam when it’s most likely along the lines of their employees not finishing middle school.

Do those special polarized license plate visors really work in keeping a picture from being taken? If so, get the fastrak along with the visor and screw it.

yup... i get em all the time... sometimes if I am driving my parents car and i dont have my fastrak transponder i'll drive through anyways..it will catch the plate and they'll not give me the ticket

if i get the ticket i just tell em i have fastrak and they'll think they it just didn't read it and let it slide

The problem with that is.... Covering you plate in cali with anything is illegal

So you save the fine one way but then you get stopped for a covered plate and get a ticket from SFPD.... or that damn meter maid..

you might ask 7 on yourside about the fast track problem... if its a widespread thing like it is... they might make a great story out of it...

Yes, they can, you are responsible for whoever drives your car, if you dont tell them who you loaned the car to, you are responsible for the ticket.

I cross a bridge less then that and I still have one. Do you have $40 spare dollars? If so, you have no reason not to get a fastrak.
