Dude AR, hope you and your family are okay...

If you it's not your fault and you filed it under YOUR insurance. You always have to pay the deductible first until your insurance company get their money back or the case closed/settled. Then they'll cut you a call for your deductible.

I went through this before with other insurance company. Best of luck bro!

It's good if you file it against the faulting party's insurance company (no money out), but things might be slow. If you don't mind forking out the deductible first, you can get back onto the road ASAP. However, I did have good experience ONCE with the faulting party's insurance company. But I think that's because my bodyshop dealt with them directly. I just dropped off and picked up my car.

Once again, best of luck!

Thanks Leo. Last time i was involved in an accident that i was NOT at fault, the other party had State Farm.... oh boy i went thru them... they took good care of me.

This time around... the other company is USAA Auto Insurance.... i dont kno jack about them.... though they are legit..... seems like a hassle to deal w/ them so imma just go thru my own insurance.... but from what i heard... since AIG merged w/ 21st century... the claims process became a PITA...

USAA is for military and ex-military folks IIRC.

It's like the federal government. What else did you expect?

I never had a prob with USAA. They give me a better rate than anyone plus i couple my renters insurance and my bank accounts with them.

I would never go with anyone else.
