I don't understand why you would want a 2,000 rpm power band, I guess we all have different goals! If I am right the FP is not BB? 2.5XTR is considered a GT28, a step up from a 20g! Go rotated if your going above a 30r, anything bigger then a 30r become laggy. That's my 2cents.......
The Element GT52 is a modified GT30r that spools super quick. Several of EQ's customers are running them and they are spooling almost as quick as the VF43's were.

as for right now e85 is off the table. i do plan on installing 1000cc for the next setup just incase we get some pumps locally. 400 on pump would be my goal. im gonna shoot for 91 pump then maybe a 50/50 race pump mix tune for fun.

i drive it daily. mostly fast paced mountain roads. my parents live up by loon lake. that road is insane. my 20g does fine and a couple hundred more rpms before full spool is ok by me.

what i would like is a 49-50lb turbo that spools close to my 20g.
ed always points me in the right direction i just like trying new things.

I absolutely loved my DOM3 with the 10cm housing. On my stock wrx block I made 360/340 with a pretty conservative tune at 19psi, Ask Ed for his opinion on the turbo, I know it surprised the hell outa him with the number it made so easily.
I really wish I kept my car longer and got a built block then turned up the tune. Full boost was at 3400 and it had one hell of a 3k-6k power band.

I think if your running a top mount with a fp green would be no bueno. I think you should run a fmic instead. Correct me if I'm wrong tho.

^^ I ran a APS top mount with my 30r, it ran fine for me.

But I think anything past 350 you should be looking into a front mount

Yeah because I was trying to run a aps top mount With my fp green but mike from gst said it wasn't a good idea. So I stuck with my turbo xs fmic.

so far the spearco has been great. i want to max it out w/o loosing the front end stiffness.
ive done some more reading and heres a idea

850cc
KStech 73mm that fits the cobb box
either 20g XT upgrade/3071/gt52

i figure i should hit 370-380 on eds dyno.

Since you said E85 was off the table, I think those numbers are too high for 91 octane, even for a built block. Or are you doing meth injection?

Sorry but I have to totally disagree here. The Element GT52 is VERY responsive and most people don't notice much additional lag as compared to a VF turbo. It can also do about 400whp on E85/race gas. Great all around turbo for most applications IMO. Maybe you're thinking of a different turbo?

400whp is very tough to achieve on straight 91 Octane. The only cars I've tuned to that have been running GT35's and I think that's a bit more lag than you're looking for.
