Replacing with a new car ever 5-6 years is not a good financial idea. Unless your rich and already own plenty of investments and property for the future....

I think you are refering to evo 9 or 4G63. No more cast iron block on Evo X.

Anyway, what kind of deal do they give out on EVO X MR?

yeah, in 5 yrs a car has depreciated too much 2 or 3 years is better if your planning on trading up once the new model has come out

I guess that is good logic if you need a new car often..then do it within 2 years.

But that is if you are only buying the car in full...cash....no interest...and you are not planning on using that cash to grow into more cash...rather than lose lots of it in depreciation.

Only certain cars can hold their value high over 2 years with use.

Rare cars...or classic cars.

Perhaps, 3 year lease might be a better route.

I could rock the Evo 9 but..... I'd rather have an STi over the X.

If this is going to be a daily driver, I'd say do yourself a favor and test drive the GR STi before signing the papers for an Evo X.

- Softer suspension. Very good for long road trips, or farked up SF roads.
- "I" mode helps in smoother shifts when in traffic, but that could just be me
- 6th gear.
- Easily-foldable rear seats + Wagon = so much cargo space. Evo X has neither, and with a smaller trunk.
- Interior is still econobox, but still better than that of Evo X.
- Exterior looks more mature, yet still sporty. Don't get me wrong, I still lust for a white Evo X - but not as much when I consider the over abundance of law enforcement in my area.

For what it's worth, I almost drove home with a base Evo X GSR last November, but Mitsu could not get me the financing we agreed on. It turned out to be a good thing, because STi proved to be a better car for my needs - DD, road trips, Tahoe trips, and hopefully a few track days each year. Oh, the 8k off MSRP and 0%APR for 63 months as well

.....I still want the damn Evo X MR seats though!

I think my evo8 is pretty reliable....

beside the clear coat chipping off from wing/brake caliper, both warranty.

-15k/3years of city driving before my clutch gave up
-20k ish... my value spring seat went bad. got that warranty

near 30k still no major problem.

Although my car is pretty much stock.........for now

EVO X + 19x10.5 +15 = FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111
