yeah seriously, Mercedes is such crap for quality and expensive to fix it's insane. I don't know why people keep buying their propaganda about being super well built.

The old mercs, yes. Not the new ones.

Get a 328i with 4 year free maint and I think more than that for warranty, and just call it a day

Wife was seriously going for a C350 in charcoal metallic (whatever the actual paint name is), but once we test drove the IS350 she was sold. Not only did the IS350 come with more features, but I got it for $37k, with the sticker showing $42k and change. This was like a year and a half ago, so the economy wasn't even in the tank yet. I could probably buy a new IS350 for $35k now lol. Another thing we noticed, was MB is using fake leather on more and more of their models, even the E-class, unless the dealer specifically orders it with the real leather option. Pathetic. I preferred the build quality, and real leather of the Lexus to the MB, and so did the wifey. I'd rock a CLK63 Black Series though.

I drove an IS350, and I did not like it at all. For that price though, I guess you can't find much better in its class.

I was car shooping with my dad for my mom for a while last year. We test drove the G35 Sedan, IS350, various Mercedes, some other cars that I can't think of right now, but we settled on BMW 535i.

My mom likes it. ha

Yeah it's a price thing. At that time the 1-series was not yet out, or (believe me) she would have wanted a 135i, she loves those things. Yes I also would have gotten her a 535 if that was even remotely close to the $37k we paid for the new IS350.

the new C looks really good.

my friend has a white C63 AMG, and that thing is a beast. look wise and performance. just can't get my eyes off that car.

even though M3 is better on track then C63, but ill pick the C63.
