Yeesh reliability issues. They drop in value so fast. I suppose they're good if you just want to impress some people, that's about it.

althought the new c-class look is really sleek and sporty, i'm still not convinced. if you want it, know that it is purely for aesthetics and straight line speed, something a lot of cars can accomplish. my parents have an E500. it is a boat, boring to drive, and it has given them nothing but problems. Brake issues, no throttle response (tuned for old folks). go with bmw, but they are pricey.

i just saw an 05 S4 avant with 60k miles for $21k on CL. get that.

Mercedes makes a great car...a little too classy for me though. I don't have a collection of leather bound books at home, and my apartment does not smell of rich mahogany. What I am trying to say, it people don't know me.

Honestly, Michael don't buy a Mercedes, they are crap. I had a 2004 G500 and the engine threw the main bearing at 2.5k miles during break in. I got my money back for it being a lemon.

Mercedes doesn't use new engines in any of their cars since 2004 due to project green Earth. All their cars come with remanufactured engines these days. My G500 was in the shop every other week for some bs.

My 2 cents.

I remember the supercharger on my friend's 2004 E55 AMG crapped out literally 2 days after his warranty expired. Lol.

I don't like Benz. They are too soft. BMW FTW.

I was at Laguna Seca photographic an AMG/Black Series even and I overheard two of the MB employees running it talking about one of the cars having to go to the dealership for some seal or stud problem.
