Thinking about buying a Forester XT
What should I lookout for? EJ255 are not the same as EJ257, right? Is it just AVCS?
I like this one:
2008 Subaru forester XT 6spd STi
Anyone know the guy?

Doesn't mean much if the work is done right.
I almost not like to have 18" wheels due to the huge brakes. This would be a daily driver.
It's either some sort of Forester XT or M3/M5... My wife wants me to buy a bimmer. I'd love one too, BUT, the practical in me, (and the lack of douchebag) makes me not want to own one.

That thing looks awesome. If you plan on driving it into the ground, and the work was done right, salvage title does not matter (as long as you do not need financing).
If I did not have my WRX and needed to pick something up, an FXT is EXACTLY what I would be looking for right now. If it already had a 6spd - hell yeah!

****, I don't even care to have a turbo... a NA Forester would be dope to me.
I just hate the 4EAT. I never knew how bad it was until I owned a car with one. Never bored with a 5spd.

Has to be something wrong with it... It was for sale before I found mine MONTHS ago.
As for FXT. There is only one answer
I always liked them, and then I drove one and the WRX was for sale almost instantly.
Let's just say I looked for a LONG time to find mine. They're out there though.

The things that stick out to me are:
It looks clean. So what's wrong with it.
They used a much older style STi TMIC. I don't like that.
Random BOV instead of a stock BPV or a true recirculating valve.
The 5x114 shows attention to detail. Heck, even I'm still running the 5x100 setup.
Also... DO IT.
