Hate to break it to you - but up here in the BA; yes, we have wine drinkers. Stanford Stadium has a wine kiosk as does AT&T Park.
Do I drink there? No. I like beer. When I'm older will I? Possibly.
Wine and Northern CA go hand in hand - we have some of the best wine in the world. It's kinda like LA - you can't think smog and not think LA.

Okay,
gathering from what people have been suggesting...
My itinerary for the weekend...
Friday:
Hit up a Korean bbq on Friday night and head to UCLA
Saturday:
Hit up Santa Monica/Hollywood during the day and eat at Pink's
Go to Huntington Beach/Irvine area and let my friend take me wherever
Sunday: Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and get the hell out of LA! with my new wheels

Pink's is overrated.....skip it and hit one of my dudes' What's Up Dog! spots in The City if ur craving a fooooot loooong! lol
::
seriously, it ain't great or good at all. the OD wait makes it even worse. save urself the time. hit up the Curry House in West LA if u want cheap grub....or one of the Japanese hole in the walls in the same area on Sawtelle.
::
i'd rec Lawry's Prime Rib on La Cienaga a few blocks from the Beverly Center, BevHills if you have time too.....better than House of Prime Rib in SF.
::
have fun+drive safe. SoCal cops don't play when it comes to imports, esp modded ones. don't jaywalk or forget to pay ur meter in West LA, Santa Monica, & ESPECIALLY Westwood.....highest ticket rates in LA. they tix jaywalkers like crazy....NO JOKE!!

I think I'm going to skip on Prime rib, I don't got the $$$ for it and plus it'd be weird if it's just me and my friend...
And I'll be in a rental and not my subie

unfortunately, i don't remember the names of the spots i used to hit....i just went & never paid attention to names. i do remember Mishima, but that's like the most boojee one and not that great....just the cleanest & most pretty. only go there if you're on a cheap date. one of the other LA heads can prolly help u out w/names of the spots, esp that dude that went to UCLA. those spots are real popular w/Bruins.....that's how i went there. lota my buds were Bruins. know many Trojans too, but they're all brat$! lol

i'm still into kicks, but moved away from urban streetwear while ago, so haven't kept up w/the scene. most of my guy+girl friends down there are boojee corp types or...them SC brat$, so they're not into urban gear either. wait for the HeLLa FLuSH crew to chime in about that. otherwise, hit Fairfax Ave & Melrose in the BevHills/LA area.....more F-fax tho cuz heard Melrose has gone downhill. you'll find a gang of shops ur interested in down there.....hundreds, stussy, etc etc.

There's a few spots off of Sawtelle and Olympic which are good to ok. Hurry Curry, Curry House, Sushi Mac, Asahi Ramen. And a ton of other places. Every time we visit L.A. now, it's tradition that we eat at Hurry Curry as our last meal before we take off. It's still ok, but ownership changed several years back so it's not the same.
UCLA may be dead, even with summer session going on. I know there are typically a lot of summer camps going on, but you'll be looking at mostly jail bait.
And for shopping, there are a ton: Beverly Center, Melrose, The Grove, 3rd Street Promenade, Rodeo Dr., and a ton of others. It's L.A., so shopping is all around.
