Which of these SF restarants w/ view have live music/dancing?
Yeah so I wanted to hit up one of these places on saturday with a few friends to celebrate. Originally was going to go to The View Lounge which has live jazz bands fri/sat, but also decided to look at other places.
I've also been to Cityscape long time ago, don't remember what it was like though.

1. Which of these places have live music, dancing, or both on a saturday night? Anyone have any opinions of them and experience?
2. And what about food? Some of these places you are paying for the view and have average food.
3. The view? (What can you see? bay bridge, golden gate, Yuerba Buena, i dunno...)
4. service/how busy: Yeah everything will be busy on a saturday night but some probably more than others. Some places have better cocktails and specialty drinks than others, etc.
I live pretty far from SF and I really only go there to go clubbing, so I have very little idea "where to take people to chill" in SF. Any lounge suggestions (a friend mentioned Hookah SF to me) would be appreciated too.
Thanks!

See if Le Colonial fits what you're looking for. It's a 1920s themed French Vietnamese restaurant. The food is supposed to be excellent and they have a separate lounge with music for dancing. I believe Friday is Jazz night.

Not always, I was at a friend's party @ Rouge and walked over to Ana Mandara which is this really awesome restaurant, and it kind of becomes a club at night. Harry Denton's Starlight at the St. Francis is supposed to be a pretty upscale place too.
Yeah you aren't going to find a restaurant that becomes a CLUB club (and certainly not a "ghetto" (no dress code) club, but I think there are definately joints that are social lounges with dancing and either a live band or DJ at night.

I think that place has gone downhill. Actually everything has, I hear SF is passing a lot of anti-stripclub and anti-prostitution laws. Which is pretty ironic cause I mean... it's SF. You'll allow Folsom Street Parade, the Power Exchange, and gay people having sex in public but pass vice laws and bust massage parlors? Come on.

Marrakech in SF is a pretty chill Morrocan restaurant and hookah bar. Hookah starts at 10:30. They also have a few belly dancers, which is somewhat interactive, and she'll pick people from tables to dance on some songs. You may need to make a reservation for a Saturday night if you're going with 5+ people. The food is great! Lamb/beef/chicken/pork kebabs, cous cous, lentil soup, hummus, pita bread and baklava are all on the menu. You sit on cushions very close to the floor. Full bar, and a la carte menu. It's not classy, and it is sort of close to the Tenderlion, but this place is very fun.

yeah been there, great place. Ended up going to Ana Mandara - it's a fusion restaurant with live bands fri/sat. Nice lounge area upstairs and dining area downstairs

If you want to have a really cool night out, check out Biscuits and Blues
http://www.biscuitsandblues.com/
Outstanding live music, outstanding food, some dancing.
If you want to get into a more traditional club, Ruby Skye ( http://www.rubyskye.com/ ) is across the street
