These pinks worth it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Strut...ayphotohosting

I found these on ebay, they are obviously pink lol but I have no idea if they are worth it to buy and install. I was going to pickup some cusco OS front and rear strut bars and lower tie bars but this seems to have it all for an incredibly cheap price lol. Suggestions / advice please

What I think he means is that if you change your springs, but don't get a shock absorber that is matched to the new spring rate, then your car actually handles worse than with the stock springs.

The car looks better, but handles worse.

Shocks & Springs (or coilover) FTW

I have them; that exact setup from that guy.
The quality is ok... the H-brace fit perfect on first shot. The rear STB is nicer than I thought it would be, also installed in less than 15-min
The front STB, Honestly its a waste of money. The Tolerences are crappy, so it requires some wiggling to get it in. You will need to move the AC lines a little (easy to do).
Overall I'd skip the front one, i I was doing it again, but at $100-shipped for the set, you could throw the front STB in the trash and it would still be a good deal

Exactly. And may I ask what springs and struts have anything to do with this thread..? Not to be an a$$ but...I can understand how they fall into the general category of suspension but....this isnt about springs, its about braces. I am very aware of the effects caused by springs with insufficient struts..I plan on doing coilovers next summer .

I understand that coilovers or struts matched with springs are better than just springs, but I find it hard to believe that it actually degrades your cars handling characteristics. I for one, have Pro Kit springs on my WRX with stock struts, and the handling is by far better than stock. Sure the bound/rebound could use some help, but the tradeoff (if there is one compared to stock) is less body roll and tighter and quicker steering. Do you or anyone have info to back your statement up?

Not trying to start an argument, I don't mind being wrong. I'd just like to know the truth.

no, metal isn't metal.

steel is quite a bit different from aluminum, especially in terms of Torsional Rigidity and Modulus of Elasticity....basically, ithe terms define how much the material twists and bends. additionally, you can have million different alloys which also have different material properties--although for something this cheap, I'm betting it's nothing exotic.

Perhaps even more important is the cross-section/geometry of the tube itself. The Area Moment of Inertia also determines the rigidity of the bar .

Oh, and lastly, the entire brace itself is only as rigid/stiff as the weakest link...so if the joints are weak...well, the entire thing is weak.
