I took pictures of all the cars and contested the ticket by writing, judge threw it out.

Luckily they didn't throw my *** in cuffs and luckily the cops have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to cars that they let me go with just a fix-it ticket. So if you come accross this thread be a little smarter when you decide to drive 100 down the most cop infested street in San Jose. The worst part is I saw the car drive by the scene while I was getting *****ed at but they were too busy with my *** to even notice it. AAAAAHHHHH!!! ( venting complete)
I bet he reads this and just laughs because he got away with it.... *for now*
the worst is yet to come something bad will happen to him later on and he will wonder why..... just remember "what comes around goes around"
what was your ticket for SCscooby03? exhaust? no front plate?

He gave me a ticket for the "big" exhaust. it is funny because they associate an HKS carbon-ti exhaust with all the other lawnmower exhausts based on the size when in fact, HKS exhaust systems conforms to emissions and decible levels in california. It was funny because there was no way that any of the cops knew for sure which car it was because all of them asked a million dumb questions. one cop said that my car smelled like it was running hot and that my brakes smelled, though my car didnt smell like anything at all. then he hopped in my car and started it and gave it a couple of revs. then he tripped out about the turbo-timer and was yelling at me why my car didn't turn off when he took the keys out. And the other 7 cops that rolled up were all like " just admit it was you. you dont have to lie." It was actually funny how the cops got all in my face and I was the only one diffusing the situation when they all seemed to excelerate the situation by harrassing me all up in my face and getting all worked up. either way I am 0 for 15 now with real tickets. just sucks knowing those odds are regressing towards the mean and my luck is taking me pretty far.

Wow. I'd love to know how harassing someone using arguements they know nothing about (and turn out to be wrong about) can be interpreted as upholding the law. Hearing stories like this is a broken record. A very sad broken record.

Are cops trained to make risk statements?

Making false accusations gets you in big trouble in any other profession that I'm aware of. And making false accusations without any basis or knowledge is just moronic.

Doctor: Do you know why I'm sending you to surgury? Because you have a "loud" heart. And your breathe smells wrong, you'd better have your tonsiles removed. And why does your foot move when I hold it still? You'd better have a tendon transplant.

Lawyer: Do you know why you're being sued? We heard you talking on your cell phone "loudly" and you mentioned the stock market. We think you're doing insider trading. And your cologn smells like you used embezzled funds to purchase it. And why does your pager go off when I'm talking to you? You must be engaging in illegal activity.

the funniest thing is that I got pulled over about 3 weeks ago by my house for not having a front plate. the cop was really cool and was like just put it on because thats how we monitor vehicles on camera at some places and let me go. Then as he walks away starring straight at the back of my car with the exhaust starring straight back at him, he says, " wow. This is a really nice car" to his partner. just shows the many levels of discression of the law, with this cop being the coolest and the cops of last night being whale dorks.

I'd be pretty pissed about the cop getting in my car and messing with it . . . but if there were 7. Actually, now that I think of it, 7 is pretty excessive, wtf?
