And knowing the history of islam, that religion and it's people, will not stay quiet forever. If we keep trying to go and convert them to our ways, I can assure you that they will begin to band together, as nations of islamic backgrounds, and begin to oppress collectively, and begin to push outwards like in the crusades.

Fundamentally, it's peaceful... all religions are. But just like how right wingers stick to the letter on the law and officiality... they have people who stick to the letter of the Koran... Both you people miss the entire point, and begin to push your beliefs on to others.

Coming from a people who have been slaughtered by muslims (and hindus) in the past, I'm telling you, there is a growing chance for collective rebellion. And thus will begin WW3.

Why is there a political argument in this thread? The ONLY people that should be complaining here is stg2lgcy00! Everyone else should be giving him impartial comfort and sending their prayers (if you're religious--i’m not) without a political statement.

When I posted before I didn't get mad at stg2lgcy00's response because he has a right to be upset at the whole situation. I've been in his shoes many times and it's not a light matter...

After I wished his friend the very best, I could have made the point that the military is a volunteer force. Do you feel sorry for the person that loses their money with a large bet at the casino? Maybe, maybe not… but I didn't take that route!

Whether you like Bush or not, his friend volunteered himself as a hero. He's damn luck his purple heart didn't come with a toe tag, yet you post pictures like it's a joke?! Your lack of decency & respect ****ing amazes me…

 

You're right Salty, it is volunteer, so I want to apologize to Stinger. Not for having my particular views, or for thinking that his views are worng and or convienent, but for arguing with him. There's no real point. If he's really willing to go fight over there, well hell then, more power to him. I really hope he doesn't, and I really wish no one ever had to, but if they consciensly chose to, who am I to tell them they are wrong.

Ok I just read through this whole thread. Few things I wanna say. SsTiNgEr77 ever since your first post in my thread you have proceeded to shove words in my mouth. You were saying I shouldn't bring up the environment because I'm on a car club, well I do run cats on my car despite the fact that I could get more gains catless. And your comment about how me seeing the pictures was the "answer"..... again you are shoving words in my mouth. I did not say it was the answer, it was in response to you saying I had NO IDEA what is going on over there. The fact that my friend showed me countless photos of mostly everything they did and explained the situation DOES give me an idea of the status. Mostly I agree with what alot of other people have said here so far. Like Salty said, I have a right to be mad because of what happened to my friend and theres no reason for anyone to get at me because I merely stated my opinion and an incident which occured recently. The fact is, my BEST friend came extremely close to being killed so I have EVERY right to be upset. Anyways SsTiNgEr77 I just want to say I'm glad you have volunteered to server our country but thats no reason for you to start acting like a ***** to me after my first post, you hardly even know me and don't know my friend either. This thread is really getting nowhere and I don't feel like wasting my breath anymore. Some of you are for the war others are not, lets leave it at that.

 

Speak for your self please Salty... The tone of his original post seemed (to me) to be inciting debate about the entire issue, in addition to eliciting sympaty for his injured friend. It wasn't until after my first post in this thread that I noticed it was NOT in the political forum, so give me a break, at least. Don't try to be Mr. bodyguard to someone who never asked for it. Re-read my earlier rant in this thread, perhaps you'll then understand that stg2lgcy00 just may agree with some of the things I said. Let him judge if people were out of line. I know your amazement at the lack of respect and decency was, at least in part, if not mostly, directed toward me, whose opinions in this forum you don't seem to understand, in general.

So, here's how I see it. Because you couldn't conjure up a decent refutation to any of the points made here (I know you disagree, let it be known!), you chose to discredit them as 'out of line.' Smart move... it prevents you from even having to consider their viability!

I am really frusterated with our country right now to the point I am ashamed to say im an american.
While us peons sit and argue about who is right and who is wrong, should we be in Iraq or not, war stupid, etc, etc... we are missing the fact that our president is still effin things up and what are us opinionated peons doing about it?
