need you folks help on a decent takeout sushi spot along my commute from morgan hill to san ramon.

wife's bday so thought i get a decent selection of sushi or sashimi to bring home

any suggestions?

 

Try Sachi Sushi off Bollinger Canyon Rd. I remember their sushi was quite good, but their grilled Saba and beef teriyaki was excellent.

 

this is probably out of the way for you but there is a really good spot called cha'cha sushi in san jose if your ever around!

 

Michi's in Campbell is pretty awesome. Their menu can be a bit overwhelming, but otherwise great (if a bit expensive.)

Pretty easy on/off from 85 too.

 

I have mixed feelings about cha chas, gone there 3 times thought it was excellent the first time and the other time, mehh. Cha cha is on capital expressway close to the automall at capital and 87.

Heard horrible things about SC (the one in Campbell anyway, if there are others..)

IIRC, we got the same thing each time we went to Michi's so not much chance to mess it up lol.....with a menu that size tho, their bound to not be great at all of it.

 

Maybe since I know 4 workers and they are all sushi chefs, they make me the good stuff.. that very well could be... LOL. Also, I dont order, I tell them to just make me whats good and they throw 6 -8 rolls at me and a sake bomb and we go to town

 

Olleh sushi/tofu house in sunnyvale is a real great spot aswell a bit out of the way but always worth it. pretty pricey but damn good.

 

So when are we going?

I can almost hit Sushi Con with a paintball from our house
