I'm totally lusting for a LS FD too. I think it would be a perfect everday sports car, but I'm still young and I still have ( and not planning to sell) my wagon, so I think something a little more track oriented and less compromised (read CHEAP) would suit me better. I'm thinking LS1 Miata or E30, but I would need a budget of roughly 13-15K.
This is what I've been thinking as a swap in the near term:

It was posted on nasioc a while back and I found it through volks swap a few months ago. He says it keeps up with STis and Evos. He spent $3K, which is damn cheap. I'd spend another G or 2 for a nicer paint job and a roll cage. Of course after seeing that notch, I don't think I want a beetle.

EDIT: Visit my lonely F1 thread! Bahrain GP is this weekend!

i can't stand signature line pics either. i don't know why most euro forums allow them. 99.9999% of them are ugly and it just detracts from the reading of the forum.

^After reading that it sounds sorta like it's a "coachbuilt" Caterham... Chassis by Caterham, power by RS Performance
Not sure if that counts as a swap, but I'm pretty sure the Caterham guys didn't have a 550hp supercharged Busa based V8 in the initial design parameters.
