The Sweet and Dandy Motor Swaps of all sorts Appreciation Thread

So... I've been at that pipe dream phase every true gearhead does/should/needs to go through, been lurking LS1-tech a lot as well as Volks Swap among other forums. While doing my lurkin, I've come across some really original cars and thought, "what better place to expose them and have ppl rape and suck all the blood out of these ideas than BAIC?" I think Subaru owners have some of the most varied tastes (as a community) so I hope to see some mad sick wheepz. BTW, I think this is about as on topic s BAIC can get! haha

To start, I posted this in the coolest pic post thread the other day but think it's fit for reposting.

This is a ’73 Notchback with an EJ20 in it. Type 1/aircooled swaps are getting increasingly common and with the relative cheapness of an EJ compared to a built Type IV motor, I’m sure it is only going to increase in popularity. Some say switching to H20cooled is taking a lot of the soul of the car away but if you’re talking about leaking oil from every orifice, take away its soul by all means.

yeah that notchback gets the blood flowing elsewhere for sure! It's perfect in my eyes, not too flashy, juuuust right. Only thing he needs is an oil filter relocation kit and a skidplate

Dude! That's the video I was looking for as soon as this thread was posted this morning! For some reason I was thinking that it was an Austin 7 or something like that. Thanks Sasco!
